I would like to welcome you to St. Dominic’s College, located in the prime location of Shillong city. The College was established in the year 1995 and at one point of time was recognized as one of the best residential private colleges here. Over many years College has been constantly serving the student community by providing quality education to students from across the North-Eastern States especially Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Tripura, Meghalaya and Mizoram. The institution has come a long way from the time of its inception. Over a period of 28 glorious years of its existence, College at present is providing BA degree with six honours subject.

 

The Indian higher education system is witnessing a dynamic change with the implementation of NEP 2020 and FYUP. Due to unprecedented expansion during the past two decades, the challenges faced by the universities and colleges are many and include inequitable access to quality education, improving standards of undergraduate education, enhancing quality of research output and publications. St. Dominic’s College with their motto, “EDUCATION FOR ALL” is working diligently to be in line with the New Education Policy. We believe in providing quality education in a highly supportive and friendly environment. As the Principal of SDC, it gives me immense pleasure to inform you all that we have dedicated number of teaching and non-teaching staff who are working persistently to provide a holistic development in terms of studies, social and cultural skills to our students.
